05:46 pm - BlackRayne sale extended through the end of May!
BlackRayne.com is having a sale! I have decided that since the Beltane sale did so well, I am extending the sale prices on EVERYTHING through the end of May!

Save $25.00 on any corset under $200.00, and save $50.00 on any corset over $200. Save $10.00 on ALL skirts, bloomers, etc. that is NOT a corset (and I just added two new skirts too!)! This is a very limited time offer, so act now!

Orders must be paid in full via PayPal within 48 hours of initial contact regarding the order. There is a flat $5.00 shipping charge per order within the USA, whether you order one item or five...international will be slightly more.

If you want to place an order with this special sale pricing, please email me at blackrayne @ blackrayne . com, with "BlackRayne sale!" as the subject. Please do not use the shopping cart on the site, it will charge the regular price.

And just so I don't have a million emails asking...all garments are custom made to your measurements, and take an average of 6-8 weeks to have made (though I try to have them done sooner, but as I am currently only sewing part-time, I can't promise it)...no rush orders on this offer, ok?

(my apologies if you see this several times)

Do you do wholesale at all? I have a friend that runs a punk shop who is always looking for new clothing lines that fit with her shop.

No pressure, just a question. ;)

As I prefer to do each garment to the intended owner's measurements, wholesale is out of the question...well, that, and I don't have nearly enough time to make a bunch of different things to stock in a shop.

One day when I have the money, time and resources to hire a few helpers that may change, but for now, it's just me...which is how I like it. :)

That's what I figured. If you ever do decide you've got the time, energy, person-power, etc. to go whole sale, let me know, and happily put you in touch with my friend.

Cheers!

Just remember, all the fabric is still in skirt form, so....yeah.

It's funny how the niftiest fabrics I want made in to corsets and tops are either from skirts or from curtains. I found the coolest acetate with burnout velvet design from the skirt of an old prom dress, and had Laini from Gallery Serpentine make it into a corset....and now, you! woo!

Oh. my. god.

I *love* that little ruffley bit on the back of the skirt!!!

(In other words, it's here!)

The fabric is awesome! Right now I am leaning toward something with a swetheart style bustline, using the ruffle to trim the top and bottom of the corset...what do you think? Or maybe just the top...I dunno. Do you like the ruffle? Do you want me to kill the ruffle?

Will look at the shirt soon and see what I can do with it for you.

Let me get some price quotes for skirt fabric, then I will get back to you with a price for everything, ok?

D'oh!

Will look at the shirt soon and see what I can do with it for you.

That also should have said skirt...me = brain dead.

I think the two-layer skirt would make for a nifty bodice...or another corset. Possibly a tank top with ribbon straps or something like that. Still thinking about other stuff too.

yey!

actually, if you could use the ruffle and make it look cool without ruffle overkill, be my guest. :) I adore the way it's built on the skirt- if I could be so small to wear that skirt, it would be AWESOME!

just let me know what you think price-wise, and I'll send it to you ASAP!

OK...first, forgive my craptastic sketch and scribbly Crayola job, but tell me...what do you think?

Green sweetheart style corset, with ruffle at top, black trim/boning casings. Black skirt, green piping down front and back.

Found taffeta...it sucks. Quality isn't nearly what it used to be.

Other possible fabrics...satin (would work well, may be too shiny, though the satin I have is fairly matte in comparison to most, and it doesn't have much in the way of sturdiness). Or...velvet (would look beautiful, but may be way too hot). Whichever you decide on I would do the boning casings and trim our of the same fabric so it ties it all together.

Prices...

corset - $150
satin skirt - $40
velvet skirt - $60

plus shipping (I usually charge a flat $5.00 in the USA, though it often ends up being close to twice that).

How's all of that sound?

dee, that sounds and looks PERFECTO!

I'm a goth. Velvet in the dead of summer don't bother me none! ;)

If you think the velvet would look prettier and not so shiny, go for the velvet. Big fan.

I will send you the moolah via PayPal Thursday or Friday!

I'm so excited!
